These photos show you how the little gardens currently look. I used several ground covers: Scotch moss, creeping thyme, Blue Star, and rosemary for the "trees", and other small plants I found at the nursery shop. The containers are twelve inches wide and sufficiently deep for the project. When I planted them, there were not flowering yet...however, you can see the sweet tiny, tiny flowers blooming all over in the second photo.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisw3oTYjY4rQ0nr3DxTMJNtc0FJ3S3_iobACL_oWOzcgpV-3xOBukZltJPpmce9JWt9B2EL5MIk8P0shUERx4uNS8vfrfpxauTh6RHZHksegvTbRdWRvtFt5KdafRwZRCmfCU84TXSpLsZ/s320/DSC00415.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607866207363508866" />
About two weeks ago...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNkDYxgYXZdnaYLeU3O6KVhNlpqDtPt_lQjJWtG2FriYRVrG5xhIfmmtuIoW1G9V6bAlPYW18PTYUulWi3Cfja9C2Y5xlV8oDw1YLZAAO4WArGJi8ycz8EKilUZVoBQRZKeZcgzTTed3hv/s320/DSC00432.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607863634016854370" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGfldIy0c5SeXunLcSVYNNlgMOBkslOOet-5vIc_oa3T2xJOWJ07UF4miOizeXQdxbKkmXG9UJaGf2kuYBC03LlP-zPCN7Pk0adGlwQV_ZlJ_R057qM9XwWIohDc_ehNTo8dTUCIrkjIEy/s320/DSC00433.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607864063963001778" />
A little rabbit enjoys the greens...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKLmxFHjvwCXU7SAoPOFz4Hu9DgZz2E2M8hqDrs332XE0WeK9RO34dYhojplSXHUspJxocM3K5zW8rOer-V7O6mTRVxARjDz3n517FWOThyxfT9dI1IOt3oEbfAAmarA82VnaX6dlc3Z4j/s320/DSC00436.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607864724515199666" />
A pair of gnomes in this one; although you can only see one in the pic...I do need to re-paint them, the sun from last Summer fade them out...poor guys!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkUMWrzjMSBOR7eVtDaABEzGMd95YShyphenhyphenTFhVlY0bNeBAbZxNQ2sxebn1KF1uLYzb846ur23bxHt8rKa4018HkklRMJ_44NW0eMoBij1Ixa9tSJoGGYTKMbe_ov5GfGyGJv6XOu97J_uG5c/s320/DSC00437.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607865457706737826" />
Can you see the ducks making their way across the bridge?

I hope you like them and inspire you to try making one or two mini gardens. Also, we have a challenge project (given by our miniature's club president),so I will try to present some pics to you as I inch along with this one.

Again, thank you for your visit!!
Annie
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGQTFQOSAo5sQlqPBQVvV_em4eNa30XHzDzCfdplo15RNtZMV5d1nldTb5nVhRa1BX1UE3bN-KLNV14csw4C09kDd_SYPDD9TxOVq6bYRIkLAcU_-itYvg1rwnF-F77csI0QI9v52r12oa/s200/Annie%2527s+photos+014.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575233662810716914" />Anniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16912296428304073042noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2831940352579470124.post-12658071479906407342010-11-10T17:20:00.000-08:002010-11-11T17:57:11.193-08:00Isabellas's playhouseBack again with a new project, a small one. This is going to be a child's playhouse; the kind you would find in some backyards (when you have the space!). It is 1/12" scale, and the body is made out of gator board which is very sturdy and it will not warp. In the first photo, the whole house is held together with masking tape for "dry fit" purposes.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEishKahqVP9VwZIlob2Jk8inG9fLZB3HtDlGSBXXYgjrcoimhlD2pYaNeXyxCc30O-SWCOYMIniHHgFONPuU0917GdqNEqfvqDiU5kM5F_GjAE7z9a1wl_MupI1TI6cwCgXGtvykYmSbeI7/s200/DSC00324.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538096425848334690" />

I used scrapbook paper for the wallpaper and found a pretty border for the top. Next, I used already made "hardwood" flooring and handpainted a design with rabbits and chicks...I think the chicks are a little hard to see in the photo. Any way, I am yet to polish the floor before I glue it into place. I am going to apply siding for outer walls,and dye some wood shingles for the roof. I have hand painted the ceiling in sky blue with clouds and some tiny birds flying here and there.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXO-eblAgkTnO0aUoSHFpFCckc5sTacOgIqODVP2EetrT6plJmCKcw2qGr_nip_31R-NLcE9U-SSQdsKtCsG0DCOKKthmwodL4EFdFzRQkz_-QJyDFPQqgk0P0KuaNQh-RFUoC-6r7LkLl/s200/DSC00330.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538099870160995954" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfsaKirm2bULKmBFLi6Bmk1-ksVqKgTHeDyw0zJ-RinhAcovxLbzhyphenhyphengHXw7VUnUWDlj9jvarvy0lIzcoYYHZ8nUJY0n9l-JBD2PuSp3Upo7Aw4ikO1tjmwkXY6fEs3CpkoH9B0l56gmW5P/s200/DSC00329.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538096284874847922" />
I will have more pictures of the latest progress...however, I appreciate your patient because I am slow at this blogging thing :) and I have too many mini projects going on.

Thank you very much for your visit and have a good one!!!

AnnieAnniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16912296428304073042noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2831940352579470124.post-73141489152918818792010-09-29T18:15:00.000-07:002010-09-29T18:32:59.851-07:00Mini meA while ago, I though that it would be fun to make a mini me of my dog...so here is the result of my first try at needle felting.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPishr7Vf15H_1KkEQpxgHB5VFFQ0ol3ktBAR0_RivCchmOeZhLmsAQTT6TxKCHQXU1DkebWsOsdvTd7gnORP7Fmwrz2Uaf6t4_4QIiwV6dJc7m8A4de_-9nl5fsNRxvfUuRr21cRezVaF/s200/DSC00282.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522509552662540738" />
Lily and "Mini" getting aquinted...
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihwL1JNgshuOs2c3IXo8B4js-WpaaGhaf8r4GxIxRk6m6yAgja5ev4eyNw8WXP9WAM-z0tThoQiILZvwXZAoyvPq1Q2rEN1Q_XGEzsI1teKOL6pOVek2X7Qpm3-r-ehYUOUtkr9vobwBfv/s200/DSC00266.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522509373978839778" />

I enjoyed making Mini, and I think that I am going to make my cat next...keep tuned.

Have a good day,
AnnieAnniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16912296428304073042noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2831940352579470124.post-9128164745617271192010-09-17T06:22:00.000-07:002010-09-20T04:57:43.137-07:00Prizes from NAME's National Convention in SeattleThis past July I went to my very first NAME National Convention...it was quite an experience. Today, I would like to share photos of my most recent completed project. It is a quarter scale garden shed, measuring 6.5 x 4.5 inches this little piece stands tall among my other larger scale houses. This scene was made around the Christmas tree which was a challenge given to us by our Club's president. The challenge was to build a scene around the tree which is made of glass. I covered the tree with green turf used for miniature landscaping. The front of the box will be attached to a photo frame and later hang on a wall.

The cute kitty was a gift from my mother long time ago...I knew I would fine the perfect spot for it. The fire screen is hand-painted by Rosemarie Torre.

Thanks for looking and have a great day,

Annie

Anniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16912296428304073042noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2831940352579470124.post-74816280066084601232010-02-10T15:12:00.000-08:002010-02-10T15:29:39.146-08:00Finished Lamp

This little room is "the craft room"

As promised, here are some photos of my completed lamp.
