And...here it is, my lovely Victorian dollhouse. This was my first dollhouse given to me by my honey, Joe. It is made from a kit by Greenleaf ; however, I have been changing, altering, etc. many things with this house in order to suit my taste. Currently, I am getting ready to make the parquet floor for the library (upper far right room). For this, I will be using Mahogany, Cherry and Oak veneers...; I am eager to see the results! Later on, I'll start with the inside trim work.
This is a big house and so it is the work involved but it is all worth it! Thank you for looking at my biggest project, yet.
Here I have some photos of my Miniature Club's project: A lamp made out of photo frames. It is made by gluing three frames, and attaching the fourth one with hinges so there is access to the mini scene. The frames used to be dark brown and I painted them white (about four coats + primer) ...and gave them a distressed look. The frame's openings are 5"x7"; however, you might use whatever size fits your taste.
My lamp is supposed to be the workshop room (1/12" scale). So far, I got most of the furniture done, and as you can see, I am using the much liked Shabby Chic look.
I'll post photos of the completed lamp later on. Thanks for looking and have a great day!!! Annie
I made this vignette for a NAME contest using a kit made for the occasion; it consisted on the floor, and back wall only...everything else was added on. I found the idea of a baby shop very enticing...so here it is.
I made all the little dresses, christening gowns, bonnets and blankets. I used paper kits to make several of the accessories on display. The outside of the vignette is covered with a vintage style children paper. The shelves and drawers are hand- painted by me!...not bad :)
Fall greetings!!!...I'd like to share this room box's photos. It is almost done...( I got to paint the outside walls ). When I found these adorable paper figures, I said to myself: the Halloween party!!!
The kids are having fun before they adventure to "trick or treat". I made everything in this display, except for the candies and cake. The Halloween cut outs are scrapbook stickers. The picnic table is made with craft sticks...and the flowers are from a kit...sorry, the photos don't show the flower bed :(
Welcome!!...I am glad you have stopped by my blog. I love all kinds of crafting activities but most of all...I love miniatures and dollhouses because they are a unique representation of our creativity and endless imagination.
Have a great day!!
